Pondering

Yes Linda.

Escada's perfumes are quite good as well. Somemore they cost lesser than the others...if u are lucky u can get them at under $30 for 30ml...

Escada's Island Kiss

Escada's Pacific Paradise

Honestly, they smell the same to me...but the salepeople who I talked to always told me they are of different scents...go figure. Anyway I like both of them.

Better be off. I still have school tml.

Yours truly is still down with flu. And infrequent bouts of fever.

Still thinking whether I should bring my white puma bag tml...I love that bag of mine...

Perfumes

I love perfumes. Almost everyone who knows me knows that. I owned a couple of biggies and miniatures and I prefer EDP than EDT because EDP lasts longer. I like to use different perfumes according to what I like that day, so I have more miniatures than biggies because it allows me to change without burning a hole in my pocket. But still, I have to stop buying perfumes!!! I already have too many!! Miniatures!!! Already start to can't finish!! Help me!!

Ok, for those who wants to perfume shop...

Here are a couple of perfumes that I like:

Miss Cherie by Dior

Maria Sharapova

Dior Addict 2
Gucci's Envy Me 2
(source: http://www.perfumeemporium.com/womens/details.cfm?id=10586&source=163)

Michael Kors' Island (source: http://www.unlimitedperfumes.com/images/michael-kors-island.jpg)
Chanel's coco mademoiselle(source:http://www.psine.net/parfum/doubles/Chanel/Coco_Mademoiselle_12.jpg) Paris Hilton (yes yes I like this...it's not too bad) (source: http://www.onlineperfume.co.uk/images/paris_hilton_edp_200.jpg) Burberry's London

And there is a new perfume in town... Britney Spears' Curious In Control. I am not crazy over it to be honest...but the bottle is damn pretty...

But my fave is the first 2...I really would want to buy them. Esp Miss Cherie. The bottle is so chic!!! Maybe get Sarah to help me buy them when she comes back from USA...the prices in airport is cheaper...provided I have the money la. And provided she wants to help me buy them. LOL.

I will post more nice perfumes the next time..

Cheerios.

Blog Addict

Am I a blog addict? I don't know. I don't think I am one of those people who HAVE to blog everyday but I do like to blog often. As often as I want to. So how come I dare to declare myself as a "Proud Blue-Blooded Blogger" ? (Read: Look at the button I have on the top right hand corner)

From the article....

You are a blog addict if:
  • you have more blog friends than 'real life' friends.
  • you're blogging in your head before you fall asleep.
  • your out of town husband and you converse in your blog's comments.
  • you tell your friends and family things like, "I'll ping you and you ping me back," or "Okay,I want to trackback on your last comment...".
  • you blog in your head an event that's happening at that very moment!
  • you actually take the time to figure out how to set up Active Desktop in Windows just so that you can make your Bloglines MyBlogs page your Windows background.
and then you actually leave it that way because you like it... and you make that your browser home page.
  • all of the visible entries in your browser's links toolbar relate to blogging!

"Blue-Blooded Blogger" is not just about the addiction, but more on the passion and love for blogging and everything related to it.If you think you possess part, if not all, of what is mentioned above, then spread the word!

Source: http://salaswildthoughts.blogspot.com/2006/08/blue-blooded-blogger.html

Ok....after reading this, I am relieved to say that I am NOT a major blog addict. But I do possess part of what is mentioned above. I do blog in my head sometimes in my sleep. I blog in my head about an event happening right then. And I like to meddle with my blog a lot. I guess I can be part of the Blue-Blooded Blogger too...

I'm Happy

After 2 anguish posts about tutorials, this post is going to be a happy one.

Guess what?? I managed to swap to a desirable operations management tutorial!!! At first I will have to wait for 3 hrs after my macro econs on fri for my om tutorial (which is 1 hr....duhz. A 3 hr wait for 1 hr tutorial. Damn stupid.) Now I managed to swap my om tutorial just after my econs lecture!! Yeah!! No more 3 hr wait!!! You have no idea how happy I was. I can't believe I managed to swap. I was prepared to go to the office to appeal and already thinking of all sorts of reasons, from "I can't wait for 3 hrs for a tutorial" to "I will commit sucide if I have to wait 3 hrs." ( The commit sucide excuse is a joke.) But I don't have to go through appeal anymore!! Yes YES!!!

I know I was very lucky. Now trying to see whether I can swap my econs tutorial...but I am okay with what I was allocated..

Now my timetable is not too bad liao. I don't have the urge to throw my om textbook outside my window...

I hope Weiwei and Yingqi can swap to the slots they want....pray hard for them.

I am going to be damn busy soon, with tutorials and projects. Not looking forward. Still in a little holiday mood..

Anyway, I found out on mon that I will have Genes and Society mid term test on 7 Oct...yes yes for those who bother to remember 7 oct is my birthday. I almost fainted in the lecture hall. AGAIN!!! LAST YR ALSO LIKE THAT!! I have financial accounting test on 7 oct 2005 too. I can't happily celebrate my birthday in NUS huh? I have to pray next yr no mid term test on 7 Oct...cos it's my 21st birthday. If there is a test on that day I will bawl my eyes out.

And to think my genes lecture said that it's her birthday...what a luck.

Anyway, I finished quite a number of novels during the holiday. Dan Brown's Angels and Demons is the latest one. I know, I am a little late in reading that but I did like that book. I am left with decepition point. If anyone wants me lend me that book tell me ok?

So far my fave book that I read recently is Jodi Picoult's My Sister's Keeper...I just love the complex issues mentioned in the book. The conflict, torn between 2 daughters, the morality of who is right and who is wrong, dealing with science to defy death, the pain caused on someone without knowing...I love novels that makes me wanna cry, wanna cheer, wanna laugh. Full of emotions. I love it.

There is a line in this book that I remember. It goes like this: "I learnt from my daughter that you don't have to be awake to cry." It's written in literal sense, but there is a not so literal meaning to it. I love that line. It wretches my heart.

Anyway, in case I am not blogging tml, it's my Juliana's Birthday!! So.... HAPPY

BIRTHDAY Juliana!!! May u have a great birthday and sorry about ur present ok??

I better be off. I may come back later to blog.

Cheerios.

Damn Damn Damn!!!

I really got a damn yucky tutorial slot for operations management. I am now certain that I will hate om now...what a whole lot of trouble tt tutorial had caused me...Damn Damn!!! Stupid idiot.

I am going to try to swap tml. If not, I will manually go to the office and appeal. It's ridiculously for me to wait from 12-3pm for a 1 hr tutorial!!! That 3 hrs break is almost enough for me to go back to my home and touch the house door and come back to NUS Bizad for om tutorial!!! Argh!!! I am so disgusted and it's gross and stupid.

The whole thing is crazy. I feel like using the f word but I will resist the urge...

Anyway, watch TRL last wk and Jesse McCartney has a new song coming up. Jesse McCartney is something like my dirty little secret. I know, he's in the "Hilary Duff/Lindsay Lohan" music category...catering to girls who just stepped into their teens but I like him a lot. He is cute and funny... His songs are not too bad. A little immature yes, but not entirely unbearable to listen. In fact, I quite like his music. And I think his new song rocks!!! Love it. I am not sure whether sg's radio has played his song anot (haven listen to radio since I resigned) but his video is not too bad too...

Post it here right now.. I really love the aroustic tune...It's called Right Where You Want Me.

Girl
There's somethin' 'bout me that you oughta know
I've never felt the need to lose control
Always held on back and played it slow
But not this time

Baby, don't be gentle,
I can handle anything,

Baby take me on a journey
I've been thinkin lately
I could use
A little time alone with you
Crazy, let's do something maybe
Please don't take your time
You've got me right where you want me

Woo hoo
Right where you want me
Whoa whoa

Girl
I'm gonna let you have your way with me
When you move like that it's hard to breathe
I never thought that it could be like this
But I was wrong

Baby, don't be gentle,
I can handle anything,

Baby take me on a journey
I've been thinkin lately
I could use
A little time alone with you
Crazy, let's do something maybe
Please don't take your time
You've got me right where you want me

Can't explain it
How you swept me off my feet
Unexpectedly
In slow motion
My imagination's gonna try to keep my body still
Oh, I can hardly stand the thrill

Yeah

Well,Baby, don't be gentle,
I can handle anything,

Baby take me on a journey
I've been thinkin lately
I could use
A little time alone with you
Crazy, let's do something maybe
Please don't take your time
You've got me right where you want me

Baby take me on a journey
I've been thinkin lately (oh yeah)
I can use
A little time alone with you (a little time alone with you)
Crazy, let's do something maybe
Please don't take your time
You've got me (whoa whoa)
You've got me
Right where you want me

Early bird today

I got up v v early this morning to do my tutorial reballoting...just finished putting my choice down. Only 1 choice left for me to put. A 9am class.

Actually, it's not much of a choice. I have no other choices but to put om at tue 9am-10am. How ironic.

Can u believe it?? I just told Yingqi yesterday that maybe this sem I dun have to come at 9am for a class after 2 sems...and if I got that 9am slot...congrats to me.

And to think that there's a 3-4pm tue om tutorial slot that I can't pick because cors put econs for me during that time...argh....it's so sickening!!

I leave it all to fate.

I can tell that this sem my timetable sucks. My luck runs out already when it comes to timetables.

But I will swap, appeal and appeal till I can't try to change anymore.

Anyway my genes and society professor/lecturer is a cauasian which was pretty good. I can tell that she has passion for biotechnology, even though I dun understand why (but I am a little repulsive in terms of technology thingy...) Her name was quite unusual and at 1st b4 gg to class, yingqi thought that it might be an Indian man teaching us. Imagine my horror when she told me that. WAIT!!! Before u say anything, let me just say that I am not racist or anything. Really. It's just that we have experiences of foreign teachers/lecturers teaching us and nobody understands anything because of the accent. But I always like cauasian lecturers...somehow sometimes they can make the lectures damn damn interesting...and sometimes when u hear the passion in their voices, u get the feeling that they are teaching because they want to think, and not because they need to do their jobs...

Anyway, I have to get ready to go to school for finance. I decided that I will go to school today. There is just too much things that I have to do today and I can't afford to miss finance. I am already lost...but I really dun have much mood. Damn!

Please pray for me that I will get the tutorial slots that I want...

Linda, I got ma on tue 2-3. It's my 3rd choice. )=

I am so screwed...

I am so screwed!!!

School starts, and I am already busy with buying textbooks, selling them and all the money tt goes with it...

Finally got to tutorial balloting...and it's so sucky. This is the part of cors I really really hate. At least during bidding, I can still control. I can put a lot of points just to ensure I get what I want. But not tutorials. Everything depends on luck. I dun have much choices to choose, nothing to ballot for. All the timings are so sucky...And...got my results of balloting....After so much thinking, I still can't get my operations management tutorial...damn damn damn.

And the only tutorial slot that I got as my 1st choice is finance...the rest are second choice. Damn it!!

I v v worried about it now becos I really dun have much choice left. I hope I dun end up with a slot tt I dun wan becos I can't tahan waiting for so long. I rather get the early timeslot.

Considering skipping finance lecture tml...

Pls pls lord...let me get what I want...

I totally lost all my mood. Honestly. All I want is to get the tutorial slots I want.

Pray for me.

Busy girl

I am becoming busy...

School is okay...but I had been late the last 2 days...like AGAIN...no surprise.

It was not totally my fault!! The rain on tuesday was bad...got my new slippers totally wet. Somemore I was carrying 2 textbooks...it was horrible.

Oh well.

I was watching TRL the other night on mtv channel...and justin timberlake was there as a guest. He wanted to bring 2 fans from the sidewalk up to the studio. The girls were so happy that one of them cried. The one who cried was from Egypt and was wearing a tudung. I know I sound a little racist, but it was kinda a weird sight. She totally lost her mind actually. When the host asked her what's her horoscope for fun, she recited her social security number!! I was laughing badly, and justin was laughing too...

Talking about music... I love these songs...and I loved the video too.

Justin Timberlake's Sexyback

link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vE1Qine4ac8

He is really gorgeous...he is my fave guy at the moment. And I love his songs..

link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UPavzz0e8MA

And Beyonce...she is incredible...

I decided that if I have cash to spare, I will buy both of their albums..

Oh well. I better be off. Tml still got school...

School starting tml

I realised that my blog is about 1 yr old...on this address anyway. I started blogging here about the same time last year..

When school was about to start.

SIAN...YAWNZ....

But thanks for all the support anyway. It was fun.

But still...I haven't enjoy much of my hols. Most of my last 2 wks have been running errands.

Managed to clean some parts of my room today so that for 1 wk it will look decent. But I think I have to clean my room again on wkends...But along with that I packed my bag for tml, print out lecture notes in 4 hrs.

I am damn proud of myself.

Got to wake up early to go school again...the far far away school..I have to get used to travelling from one end of the island to another again....and I think this time I need more time than usual. I haven been to THAT part of the island for like 3.5mths.

Yup.

At least tml's afternoon's lecture is cancelled. If Jeslyn ever reads the message on her phone, I will meet her tml for lunch at the co's food centre.

If she reads it.

I am so damn sian. I wish school starts later...

Oh well. This is what everyone is wishing for right?

Cheerios. I am back to being a student.

The complications of a human's life

I sent my sec gd fren Sarah off at the airport today...she's going to San Francisco for her studies...

Well, she waited till it's last call before she went into the departure gates...and yes she cried.

Got me thinking..she wanted to go overseas since our secondary school days...tt's her dream. And now she got her dream. She's going overseas! But with the tears, I realised that we always have to let go of something to go to higher levels...she has to let go of the comfort of living in sg to finish her education she dreams of..

We need to learn to let go.

She is still flying as we speak here.

She can know what's gg on in my life by reading my blog too...

I can imagine what Sarah will want to do when she's back for visiting. "I want to eat ______(something damn damn hot and spicy)_____!!!!"

Going overseas is my dream too. I will want to do it some day. Perhaps...and I hope.

Actually, having a friend in US is not a bad thing. At least I can ask her to help me look for Sasha Cohen's andEvgeni Plushenko's skating dvds and biographies. And yes, I haven forgot about them...

Damn busy tml...haven packed my room!!! Have to do it tml...and have to get my blog skin going too...

Oh well.

Picture with guides and AHS friends...

Sarah and me.

Cheerios sarah....wish u all the best...and u know where to reach me. *wink*

A New Look

A new look before I started school...

Let's just say that I chose and downloaded the skin a long time ago but never used it. I like the colours, the circles, the picture of the women's legs. I wish I have her legs...the pictures really suits me because that's what I do when I get home from school or work. Propped my legs on a table and on the tv.

I am really a tv show lover ( I can recite what I want to watch every night...) so this skin suits me the best I think. And I like the design...I already have a couple of her skins avaliable to use so I guess u guys might be seeing this type of skin often..

But let's just say that my blogger sucks n there is some kind of problem with the skin that I can't fix...so this is a layout that is not my first choice.

I still have my old brown urban girl skin....and maybe maybe one day I will put the skin back here into use...lol...

The skin is not done yet...I have a few more to add. Meanwhile, enjoy my new look...

Can u believe that my blog only worth $8.68??

Cheerios

Mistake Corrected

I didn't state clearly in my previous entry. The picture of Mischa with another man in that entry was taken from a fan site... I wanted to say that the lady I saw looked like Mischa in that picture. Ponytailed, with big shades.

Really.

So syl'v, the man I saw was really old. White-haired with a balding patch in the middle of his head. Plus with a big belly.

Really old.

Oh well. That's what happened when u blog in the middle of the night...tired and sleepy...

Hehe. xoxo

Why is it so hard?

This is so infuriating...

Why is it so hard to get the modules I want?

707 min pts for my non-core!!! It's nuts!!! Everyone is rushing for that module because the exam is mcq!!! That's including me!!!

I hate taking science's gems. There is nothing to choose from!!! The unrestricted electives are so much fun. The board should just change the requirements to taking all UEs.

I can't endure the same thing again...I am left with 800+ pts. How to compete with others for this mod?? Have to save pts for bidding for french next sem...french is famous for using 1000+ pts... Plus I think I am going to take a sociology level 2 module the next time...

Time to change to another module to take...

I wish it was last yr. I used 1 pt for all my modules except 1.

Damn it.... Spoilt my mood from shopping today...

I think I may have to forfeit my dance class tml...

No cheers man. xoxo

Mischa Barton's on Bebe's ad?? I don't know!!!

Anyway, I saw a Mischa Barton lookealike at the airport yesterday... This lady was quite fashionable. She was wearing baggy pants with the legs tucked inside mid-calf boots. Never really see her top carefully...but I think she was wearing a tanktop with a shawl over her shoulders and a sling bag and a pair of big sunglasses. She was with a ponytail. I saw her purchasing one of the dior's perfumes...and as I see it, she made her decision on what to buy very very fast. Her method of choosing was quite amazing...It seems like she has been buying perfume for years...

But I have no way to confirm!!! The shades kept me from knowing whether that lady is Mischa Barton or not!!!

Why it is so hard??

But it seriously look like her...the figure, the height, the hair...I even heard her cough, and it sounds like Barton's cough ( I heard it from one of the episodes from the OC. )

I tried to stop staring...but I couldn't. I was shamelessly staring at her. She was with an old man old enough to be her dad...and they were linking arms...

That man could be her dad.

You guys may just think that I had seen someone else. But I remembered my heart stopped a while when I saw this lady. My first thought was that this lady is Mischa Barton. I guess some of u may think that way too.

I like Mischa Barton. She has a great sense of style and she is beautiful...

Oh well...imagine if that lady was her!!!

I have grown up

I realised that I am more grown up than I thought I was.

After watching the Lake House last fri, I kept thinking about it. I secretly wished that I have such a guy out there waiting for me. Patient enough to wait for many 2 years just to reunite with his love...I guess I am a hardcore romantic after all. I want a guy like Keanu's character. If I ever meet a guy like that who is the one, I guess right now I will be willing to wait for many 2 years just for him. *blush*

I dont want to give up some inkling of hope that there is such a guy like that out there....*blush*

Or maybe I turned away one without myself knowing?? *shug*

I loved the song This never happened before by Paul McCartney from the lake house movie...u can ask juliana if u want. I was telling her how much I love this song...Given 2 years ago I would probably just frown at this song but not now. Hmm... I am growing up.

Guess it's time. I am turning 21 next year.

Anyway watch that movie if u haven. Cos it's great. The plot is great. Sandra Bullock is great. Keanu Reeves is awesome. Both of them together....incredible chemistry.

I have so much to blog but I am running out of time. I will blog again.

A BIG PAIN IN THE ASS

Bidding comes again...

714 min bid points for Business Communication!!! It's nuts!!! For those non-nus students, I as a student am only entitled another extra 650 points per sem to bid...to add on to the balance of points in our accounts...and normally we can get the modules we bid for using 1 point to 200+ points.

But 714!!!!! It's more than what I am entitled per sem!!!

What should I do?

Should I take Managerial Accounting (MA) instead? Meaning I take finance n MA together? Can I tahan them? I struggled with Financial accounting 2 sems back...yes managed to get a B+ but still I struggled. So now should I take that risk of taking MA and finance together?

If not, should I spend 714 points for Biz Com?

714 is seriously too much.

I have a little more than a hr to think. Bidding ends at 5pm....But I am having a headache already.

Already I am missing work. At least during work I dont have to think about something ridiculous like this.

Jeslyn, Xiaoyang, Walid!!! Where's my treat??? I need a break badly...

Ok feel slightly better. I am heading back to thinking.

Cheerios.
