Skit

My company organised this thing whereby we are supposed to perform a skit to show good service and my dept won the first prize and the most popular performance award! It was hard work though. We did not get to do much work this week because we were busy with rehearsals and more rehearsals. I am dreading to go to work this monday because I cannot bear to think of the state of my in-tray...

Anyway, I am acting as this hip hop person and that day I looked totally hip hop! One of the guy colleagues even said I looked like a thug =) It was pretty fun, but damn tiring all the same. At least a break from the normal work routine.

Anyway, not very convenient to post some pictures that I took in my company and the performance pictures were in another camera taken by my colleague. Shall leave all with one picture whereby u can't really tell who is my companion in the picture because of our getup...

Met Ting Feng, Derrick and Jul for dinner after the skit. I was carrying a sports bag on top of my handbag so it was very mafan that day. Previously when I stepped into the office like that some of the other colleagues thought I was planning to elope with somebody -_-''' Have a great dinner with them. They got especially amused when I was asking them about guy toilets. Haha! I was so hungry that day (because I skipped breakfast that day and I basically had very little lunch) so I ate especially a lot that dinner. So never really took pictures especially for our earthquake ice cream... Haha...

Talking about meeting up, Zoe hasn't sent me the photo of us meeting up last friday. We found a Arjun-alike (with goofy smile and bad phototaking skills) and we kept laughing at him... Haha! Last friday was pretty shuang for me because I had an external meeting which ends at about 4.30pm and pretty much I did not have to go back to office and could go home after that so that week ended super early for me! =D

Ok, I am just ranting over here. Looking forward to watch Confessions of a Shopholic this coming friday... and meeting da jie after she comes back from jo-berg.

Cheerios!

I splurged a lot today!

OMG! I splurged over 200 bucks today!

I am going to do a very bimbo post by jul's standards....

Isetan got this beauty offer whereby if you spent at least $100 (or $50? I can't remember), you get 10% beauty voucher. And for me, since I clocked up 670++ pts and the accumulation of pts ends the end of the mth, I only need to spend another 30++ bucks to get to 700++ pts to get another $5 voucher. Since I am lacking of stuff, I might as well buy the stuff I want now to enjoy all the benefits!

Don't even ask me how come I got 600++ pts in the first place because I don't really know also...

There you go... the picture of my purchases along with some samples...

In the end, I ended up spending $219 at one shot! Rah! Not that I am not happy about my purchases, but still, got heartache lah to see your money gone so fast. I spent $153 at Clarins, just enough to get their free gift set (which have a lot of stuff that I want). The BA said that I very lihai in calculating, because I bought just enough to qualify. And we have a lot of chat in which we discussed what is good for Clarins and what is not. She told me that it is one of the top brands in France (which I know it's true from my aunt) and to consider their body care because their range is very good too... Hmm, same as what my aunt said. My aunt has their body lotion I think. The BA gave me a couple of samples to try out also (along with the Lotus Oil, which I am very excited about, haha...) And yes yes, I know, I am like a Clarins ambassdor... but their products are really good =)

Then spent another $60++ at Ettusais... got a tons of samples from them again =) I am hitting enough stamps at E to get their $10 voucher again, which is scary cause it just shows how much money I spent at that brand too!

And now, I am at high 870++ pts, which means I need only to buy 30++ bucks of stuff get another $5 voucher! But I am not going to buy le! Because now, I have so much that my drawers cannot fit all my new purchases in! And now the free vouchers I am getting will be enough for me to buy some stuff I want and don't even need to pay much for it...

And somehow, I am thinking about Eleen right now. I think she is probably going to say I siao le.

Anyway, this post is just for me to vent out because I am still a little totally in shock that I can buy things so fast. My horoscope said that this month I am very lihai at splurging so got to be careful... and yes, I really got to be careful!

Ok! No more splurging for a while le!

And I was thinking whether I should ask Zoe about the L's activator thingy... almak! My mum is warning me not to buy cause the stuff I have can last me through the year...

Anyway, Zoe has our picture of us hanging out at Pizza Hut... we kept laughing at our dear Arjun lookalike (and his goofy smile). Will post when I got hold of that picture....

Ok, just realised that this is a very random post. Cheerios.

**Anyway, the promotion of buying any 2 Clarins products to get those 4 category of samples is over. But the one similar to Power to Try... the free samples you choose from the website still got....

American Idol Faves

This year for me is guys for me! I shall put my claim on my faves this season at this moment.

And this week's theme is Michael Jackson. I think the only big stars theme Idol hasn't do (at the top of my head) is Madonna... haha...

Kris Allen, with his rendition of Remember the Time.

I love him! He has this shy cute thing going on (sort of like my Raymond Lam), plus he's shuai! Haha... and I don't care whether he is married or not. He is still cute and charming with his guitar...

Danny Gokey - P.Y.T

He is also rather cute with his dance! Haha... he is like a manic on the stage with his dance, but still, cute. And his love for music is amazing. Can feel it when he sang.

And the last but not least...

ADAM LAMBERT - BLACK OR WHITE (this one really must watch =D)

He is so unique and fun! Love him man. And though he actually looks like a drag queen (if you look carefully), he is actually quite shuai too (with his eyes!) Totally never expect him to sing Black or White, because this is one of the signature songs of MJ (and a famous video with Tyra Banks to go with it...) But he is totally amazing! Sounds like Michael Jackson but not exactly! Love it! =)

Anyway, all the songs above are some of my fave songs of MJ. I think a few of my friends know that I actually listen to MJ at times and I think his songs are quite good (though I can't stand looking at him lah. Watching his music video can be a torture at times.) But my fave song of his is actually Billie Jean (from his album Thriller) But some of my fave songs are:

1. Billie Jean
2. Dirty Diana (I still remember MJ took this song off his London tour one year when he knew that Princess Diana is going to attend his concert, for fear that that song will offend her. Turn out that Princess Diana was disappointed because that was her fave song! )
3. Remember the Time
4. Black or White
5. P.Y.T
6. Smooth Criminal
7. You Are Not Alone
8. Heal the World
9. Butterflies
10. You Rock My World
11. Cry

I think these are a few... can't remember the others le. Haha... well, I put a couple of videos here for fun =)

Remember the Time (One of the few videos that showed him kissing a girl...)

Billie Jean

Smooth Criminal

Black or White

I know that MJ is going to put up a tour (in London), but if he ever going to come to Sg, I would probably want to go because I think his concert is once in a lifetime thing. Who can add from 10 dates to 45 dates?!? Plus, he's 50 years old liao, can't dance soon in the future. But! It will take a MIRACLE to get him in Singapore lah... not to mention the MOST EXPENSIVE TICKETS EVER...

Ok ok ok, I better stop the MJ talk before someone is going to say I love old men again. Please hor! I don't like him as in HIM ok, I like his songs and his artistry...

Cheerios.

Samples from Clarins

Clarins are offering new samples and benefits now! So, I am happy.

Another 10 days sample! Got some similar ones from last time (eg whitening cream) and different ones (eg, Hydraquench serum). Da jie, I forgot whether u bought the hydraquench serum anot but if u din, go and get it ok!

And this time I don't know what I want to get this time. Probably between Pore Minimising serum or High Definition Body Life... hmm... haven't really made up my mind. Anyway, the link for the sample programme is here.

And there is this thing from Clarins also whereby if u buy any 2 products, can enjoy 4 special free samples too. And I think the samples are of bigger size (15ml instead or normal 5ml) so I think it is totally worth it! Sigh, now thinking whether I am lacking of anything so that I can buy! Haha... Click here for link.

Anyway, just a random note. After today's meeting, like what I told jul, I decided that I shall not be stingy with compliments. So jul! Nice top on sat =) Haha!

And also, I found a couple of Lam Fung (= Raymond Lam = Lin Feng) of his speech of E Awards.... esp the first video (a bit shaky though)whereby he was wondering whether he should talk in canto or chinese (which is pretty funny btw..) He is just so cute! The videos is supposed to be continuous btw... If need translation, then tell me cause I am so lazy now.

Better go now... a bit tired now. Cheerios.

P.S. Recently I am having "Missing Lucas" illness again! I am reminded of him today badly again! And suddenly I feel that I can sort of hear his "下下下" in my head again! How??

Raymond Lam and Linda Chung

For the benefit of Linda who met me for lunch together and asked me who is Raymond Lam... so here he is! =)

Haha, Linda told me that he looks old -_-''' Only 30 years old mah, not exactly old. And somemore she said it seems to be my taste?? Haha, maybe she is comparing him with Aaron Kwok and Grasshoppers again but compared to them Raymond is younger what... Haha. Or maybe I prefer more manly man, more mature people in general? Haha... I don't know. But I like him lah! Don't start yaya me about it lah. I got improvement ok!

And the female actress that I think is the most pretty right now... Linda Chung 钟嘉欣.

Haha. That is her new album cover. Anyway I noticed that there are a couple of HK tv stars releasing albums such as Myolie Wu and Bosco Wong. Not sure what to make out of it though...

Ok, shall go watch tv now. Cheerios!

I enjoyed myself and forgot everything else..

Yup, finally got the chance to blog about JASON MRAZ CONCERT and RAYMOND LAM at the E Awards.

Let's start with Jason Mraz. Sad to say, I think I enjoyed myself more during last year's Singfest than this. I think it has got to do with his song list, which was a little too slow in front and was too high at the end that made his ending a little abrupt. Also, I think it is also the seats that Adeline and I got. We sat right at the side of the stage, which means restricted view. -_-''' But that can't be helped, because we were already lucky to get tickets in the first place since it was sold out within the first week of sales. And I think the reason why the tickets were sold out so fast is because a lot of expats and their kids bought a lot of those tickets... we saw a lot of ang mohs ard... Adeline thinks it is because the crowd is not as high as last time. Maybe that is true as well, but maybe again got to do with our seats. Those high high people are likely to be sitting (or standing) right in front of the stage and not where we were. But it's also no wonder that he is totally booked till July because he is so popular now.

But then again, Jason is a great live performer, so his concert has definitely some great moments. When I meant he is a great live performer, I really meant GREAT. He changed up the melody of the songs, got the audience to interact with him, mashed the song list up so that 2 songs can be joined together as one song. My theory is that if you are neutral about him before, you will be a fan after watching him live. That is what I did. He started with one of my fave songs (Dynamo of Volition, really my fave) and ended with another one of my fave (Butterfly), so I have nothing to complain about. Adeline was grumbling that he wasn't singing his earlier materials, which means not singing her fave songs. -_-''' Haha... but at least she saw him again, got nothing else to complain about.

And I think a pleasant surprise was that Jason sang with Joy Chua on the song Lucky, which is REALLY NICE. At least he didn't get those superstars singers to sing with him or else I may have died.

Well, leave you guys with some of the vids I took. I purposely did not shoot I'm Yours, because confirm chop a lot of other people will shoot one loh, probably with better seating too. Can find them easily on youtube. Haha...

Butterfly

Lucky

Jason and the Saxophone part whereby he used his voice to imitate the saxophone keys...

And this is what I found on youtube... I wanted to post this because I always love the way he opened this song... I esp love those songs of his with trumpets and a cool vibe on them (which is why I love Butterfly and Dyanmo of Volition, which is the song in the above video) A bit too small for showing his 'dance' for this song, but if you guys are interested, my video of him doing this song at Singfest is rather clear. I posted it below again.

Btw, I purposely did not take a lot of his pictures because his concert is not about visual but more on audio. But then again, it's hard to capture the mood on vids too =) And also, there is a lot of switching from the real live him to the big tv screen at the side because of where we are sitting.. But I took a few.... (some with Adeline's...)

This shot is really funny... I was trying to shoot the tv screen at the top but ended up shooting an ang moh's guy bald head instead... haha... kept this picture cause I thought it's pretty funny...

Me and Adeline at the end of the concert...

And Adeline and I had a hard time trying to get home... it was raining after the concert was over, then ALL the cab phonelines are engaged. When we got through one, the operator said it was fully booked.... we were very cold and wet before Adeline's brother fetched us =(

And then I went to this E Awards thing with Jul on sat. She wants to see xiaozhu, I want to see Lin Feng so it is just nice. I think it's really hard that we both want to go to the same event because whoever she likes are not who I like =) She got what she wanted (a great xiao zhu performance) but I only got 10 mins of Lin Feng -_-''''

I am like totally surprised that he did not sing live lah! Only talk and get award then go liao. Almak... I so wanted to see him sing live cause I never did lah! It is like, he is not good enough a singer to sing live meh? Yup, his songs are all canto but got one chinese song what! Get some chinese girl singer to sing with him or ask him to sing his canto song lo! Sigh... but he is so cute lah. He got this shy thing going on with him which is like so cute =)

After he came out, I got a little bored with the show. Nv really know much chinese singers anyway. Got to ask jul who is this and who is that during the show... yes I know I am pathetic but ask me ang moh singers anytime! I bet I know more of them than the chinese singers! But I saw the Yang Zhong Wei (with his english name as Aska which I don't understand) and I have to admit, I always admire him because he really got a good voice and it's nice to see him sing live too. And saw xiao zhu live too... I remember I intro him to jul when he was hosting some taiwan shows... I moved back to ang moh but jul is literally hooked on him liao. Haha...

Sigh, I was there only for my Raymond and was thinking at last I can finally hear him sing. Paid $50 for it. So in short, I paid $5 for 1 min of him talking... -_-'''

The video of him talking is with Jul with her super high power zoom. Thanks to jul for shooting him talking man... he got this funny thing of him whether should speak in canto or chinese (which he is also fluent in) and when he was speaking in canto, I understand EVERY word! I am so happy! I think I really upgraded my canto le! Will post vid when I got them. But here are some pictures (Lazy to post the others...) and a video of Raymond Lam's intro video...

Ok, so in short, I went to 2 very expensive events and I owe people $210 in just this week. -_-''' But I think it's kinda worth it (though not for the E awards thing...) because I felt that all my frustrations within this week are gone. Spending time with friends that cares about me, cares about having fun and seeing your fave stars are great stress reliever. Not to mention about to dance to great live music and sing your heart out till your voice is hoarse (I have a voice that easily go hoarse though) is really awesome. And to hear encouragement from friends... I am truly happy now. No more nonsense anymore. This is a priceless week. Though actually in the first place the week is already pricey... haha...

And da jie is dangerously going to get a very cheap meal from me because of all the money I have spent within ONE WEEK...

I bet a lot of you guys are laughing at me now...

And during the E awards show, they played this promo vid of Aaron Kwok's concert which is like so super high and left me and jul in a daze... jul ended up asking me how much is the tix cause now she wanted to go! Almak.... I told myself that I should limit myself one concert per year (I did it last yr with Singfest) but now it seems like I am going to break my promise! I told myself too that I would go for Grasshoppers' first before thinking abt Aaron's because I enjoyed myself more with Grasshoppers the last time but now I am confused! Sigh... Aaron's is really expensive ($248 the most ex) due to his stage design (centre rotating stage). How arh??

Okokokok, I think this post is really super long liao. I shall update again =)

Cheerios.

P.S. There is this interview Mraz did ith CNA and the link is here... I hope it still can work. Got to click on 6 Mar and scroll to the 3rd last vid for it...

Btw, I read form wikipedia that the lyrics to the song Dynamo of Volition came from a songwriting contest among some famous people and the phase given to Mraz is "blind man's bike". If this is true, it's amazing!

I expected that, but no comment

Was going to say no comment, but I feel like there are 2 things I need to say.

1. Some words used were very disrespectful to my family. And for that, I expect an apology but I don't think I will ever get it.

2. If the person ever want to resolve the issue, I am totally glad to do it but the person will have to come to me personally because I am not going to try to reach out to someone who doesn't want to be reached out.

**I edited it 5 times for the above... haha...

Not that I am totally letting go. As I told jul, if I ever found out untruths were spreaded, I will not let it go. I am just hoping the person is not that bad yet...

And I think that is it. I don't wish to comment anymore ever again. It's too childish and ridiculous and tiring.

I feel like there is a market for therapists for such issues! Haha, maybe one of these days I can suggest to jul about this business idea.

I am moving on.....

Surrounding myself with happy thoughts....

Happy thoughts.

Happy thoughts.

Happy thoughts.

Happy thoughts.

Happy thoughts.

Trying not to ruin Mraz's concert mood for me =) And I am going to see Raymond this sat too =) Bust my pocket for it, but I am going to save money after that for more important things.

Btw, totally love Lil Rounds on Idol. Love her with Mary J Blige's version of Be Without You! =)

And btw, a lot of people are asking me about the photos of me and my cousin chasing pigeons but my aunt hasn't sent me yet! Will post immed after I get them! Promise!

It's too childish and I don't care

I saw a couple of people in AHS uniform today, and somehow my thoughts were brought back to those years. It was such a hectic, crazy and yet fun time of my time, but it is also like drama drama all around. Haha, ok, not exactly drama drama, but it is the most dramatic period of my life. And as I said before, I learnt a few things from there.

I just don't wish to say some things anymore. It's really too childish. I am tired of people who thinks that I speak with a hidden meaning, with a hidden agenda or trying to tread on their tertiary. Most people who really knows me knows that I speak my mind. Yes, I may offend people (it will not be the first time, but I am trying), but I speak as it is. I speak the truth, my opinion, without any intention to hurt. And yet there are people who rebuke, argue and insist that they are right and try to hint their way around that you are absolutely wrong. I never said things like "You are wrong loh", "I think some people get it wrong" or shake your head when making opinions. As I said, I just said things as it is, stating MY opinions, MY views, MY thoughts.

If you have a problem with me, I would appreciate it if you come and talk to me in person. Be a man! Take responsibility in your actions. Deal with me personally. No point of bringing it everywhere but to me.

I don't appreciate it when people have an open mouth. Yes, I can understand if there is a need to find someone to talk, but I feel that there is a need to understand when to draw that line. I believe I did that and I am not forcing everyone to do what I do. But I think it's just not very nice to say everything to too many people about things that are not so nice.

Again, I am not forcing my opinion on anyone. U guys can take this post as a pitch of salt. I always believe in that people should choose what they believe in. I believe in euthanasia, because I believe in people should have a choice in what kind of beliefs they should immerse themselves in, whether it is the liberal or non-liberal way. People should have a choice of whether they want euthanasia or not. Same with abortion. Who are we to force others in what we believe in? But we can never say the other side's opinions are wrong. Same with all other issues. Whether u want to prescribe yourself to what I believe in is your choice. I never intend to make you believe in what I believe in.

So as I said, as far as I am concerned, I am moving on with my life. I don't want to be stuck in this circle whereby I am forever crowded by issues that don't matter anymore. Whatever I may said has nothing personal, it is just how I think it is. I don't care whether the issue is cleared or not.

Oh yeah, if this post is personal, that is how u think it is. As I said, I don't care.

Anyway, I don't believe that mentioning first makes you the owner. I only think of it as an issue for work.

Ok ok ok ok ok ok I am leaving negative thoughts here and that's it. I am going to keep my spirits up and look forward to Jason Mraz's concert this thurs and enjoy myself fully and not be bother about this anymore.

I don't know what to put for title

I seriously am lacking in creativity to put title... haha.

Just want to post Hugh Jackman's opening at the Oscars last monday... it was so awesome! Best opening I have seen in many years already! Esp love his songs and with Anne Hathaway! Great job man...

"Whereas me, I am an Australian playing an Australian in a movie called Australia, hosting..."

And during the song...

"The Reader, I haven't seen The Reader..."

"How come a comic book movie never got nominated..."

And the best part...

"I'm Wolverine!"

Haha... cracked me up so bad! This is just what the Oscars needed for excitement! And Linda said I am too crazy over these shows...

Btw, I am just plain lazy to post about the dresses, but I thought Penelope Cruz's is gorgeous! But there are a couple of others as well... And I am so happy that Kate Winslet and Heath Ledger won! They are the ones I truly want to see them win!

Anyway, I am actually going to Jason Mraz's concert this coming thursday! Adeline managed to get tickets from some buyer which ended up us paying another $60 more... I know, it's very expensive. I normally won't have agreed to it but I was too busy at that time to think through it carefully and just realised the reality of it at night... oh well, I shall offset it with last year's savings with Singfest. And I am trusting Mraz to give me a GREAT performance that will not let me regret spending that extra dollars =)

Sigh, I am really lacking of topics to write. I am just looking forward to Da Jie's meeting after she comes back from her vacation, and with Zoe and Jul for Revolutionary Road. This is the movie I REALLY want to watch because I want to see Kate and Leo together again. But it is so strange that it is taking so long for the theatres here to show... I am pretty sure there is a demand here (there shouldn't be too many airheads here who only cares about chick flicks and nothing else...). And anyone watched Slumdog millionare? Is it really good? Cause I am damn curious lah!

Ok okok, nothing to write le. Shall end here =)

P.S. IE people, our outing how arh? I really don't know what to do!

P.S. My Gossip Girl link is dead! Now I am stuck at Ep 17 (I think) on season 2. Anyone know where I can find new ep?
