Before Leaving 2

I can't help myself. I want to put this video.

Evgeni Plushenko!!! The olympics gala performance...one of his best. Really the best.

Evan Lysacek!!! He went from 7th place to 3rd place in the recently concluded world skating championships!!! In my opinion he had a great strong skate. Just watch when u have the time.

And how Sasha Cohen struggled again in the competition...so disappointing. She was strong at the beginning, then she lost it...Sighz...She almost cried after watching her scores...and my heart went out to her.

She deserves to win the gold medal...she is a great skater. Except that she cracks under pressure...Oh I wish the next time when I watch her skate she would win a gold medal...

If you dont want to watch Lysacek or Cohen never mind. But must watch Plushenko!!!

I want to leave my blog with lotsa lotsa lotsa my plushie...

This blog is full of skating videos...

Cya guys soon.

Cheerios. Watch the vids!!!

Before Leaving....

I am in school now and I don't know whether I have the time to post tonight.

Leaving Sg tml, returning on fri. I have a 8am makeup class for the Soci tutorial that I will be missing. Super tired now...

Don't really know what the situation in Indonesia will be like but I am definitely excited in a way because I will be seeing my mum soon. There is no one washing and ironing my clothes, no one to cook nice food for me and no one to watch soccer with me.

In short, I kinda miss her. LOL.

And I will miss my champions league soccer matches, American Idol, TAR and lost...

I will be busy at home with packing and all those last minute stuff...which is a chore. Doubt I have the time to post tonight.

And when I return from Indo, I will have a ton of work to do. Not good.

I am so incoherent that I don't even know what I am saying...

Better end it here.

I am so screwed.

Cheerios guys

Skating Pictures to boot

I just want to post some plushie pictures....

(for both)http://zhenyaplushenko.free.fr/site/screenshots/monde98sp.html

These pictures are taken in 1998....Now we know why he keeps his hair long...

http://www.buzpateni.com/eplus.jpg

Bielliman spin guys...this spin normally only LADIES skaters will be able to do it...and there are not many who can do it and do it well. One of the few ladies skaters who can do it well is SASHA COHEN. She has an excellent body posture when she does it. Sasha is known for her flexibility.

http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/060326/ids_photos_ca_wl/ra842365766.jpg

There you go guys. And my plushie can do it!!! But recently he had not been doing it alr...he always had groin injuries and I think he stops doing it...to extend his career. Not that he needs it. But he was known for doing it during his teens.

Sasha also always tend to have groin injuries I think...so I think this bielliman spin is nice to watch, but not nice to perform.

Anyway another picture to post.

http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/060326/483/cnbm10703262230

Sasha's pictures were taken at the recent World Skating Championships in Canada...

My goodness...if I am half as flexible as her, it would be good.

And half as pretty as her, I would be so contented.

Even if I am 145cm tall (she is 145cm tall...unless the report makes a mistake)

Sighz. Shall be contented with myself.

Cheerios.

World Skating Championships

I know that there are many people who dun care a hoot over figure skating. But I do. And there are many others who do too. SO here goes.

Men's skating:
1st- Stephane Lambiel(Switzerland)
2nd-Brian Joubert(France)
3rd-Evan Lysacek(USA)

Olympic silver medalist Stephane Lambiel won the gold. He finished 4th in short program but he was first in free skate. Held off a good challenge from Joubert, who had a fantastic short program and was first in sp.( I have posted the video of Joubert for his sp) Lysacek was 8th in sp, but brought the crowd to their feet with his free skate.

I like Lysacek...I like him more than the US leading male skater Johnny Weir. And ya, my Evgeni Plushenko did not skate at the Worlds...if not, the Lambiel would not have a chance to have that gold medal...

Joubert, Lambiel, Lysacek http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/060324/483/cnbm13803240350

Evan Lysacek http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/060324/483/cnet14103240351

Flops in men's skating:
Johnny Weir(USA): He finshed 7th place. Was a hot contender for gold medal. I think he finished 5th place in torino. He fell heavily at one of his jumps and that caused him.
Jeffery Butle(Canada): Finished 6th place. Don't really know what happened to him. He was a hot contender for a gold medal too. The Canadian with the biggest chance of stepping on the podium. Won the bronze in torino.

These 2 guys definitely had a chance in winning...especially without my fave Plushenko. They definitely screwed up.

Johnny Weir...falling down. http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/060324/483/cnet14003240402

Ice-dancing:
1st- Albena Denkova and Maxim Staviski(Bulgaria)
2nd- Marie-France Bubreuil and Patrice Lauzon (Canada)
3rd- Tanith Belbin and Benjamin Agosto (USA)

Don't really know about the first 2 winners...remember I just got the skating obsession like 2 months ago. Lotsa things I don't know. But I like Belbin and Agosto esp seeing their original dance (aka OD, 2nd round of competition for ice-dancing). They are so full of passion in their OD!!!And the Belbin is like super gorgeous. But I never read up about them...and I don't understand why they finished 4th in OD. If they performed to their standards, they should have been first.

(from left)Marie-France Bubreuil and Patrice Lauzon,Albena Denkova and Maxim Staviski(Bulgaria), Tanith Belbin and Benjamin Agosto http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/060325/483/pch14103250426

Belbin and Agosto http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/060325/483/cnbm14203250332

Flops:
Not sure who are the flops. This ice-dancing event is one of the most open events, mainly because the olympics gold medalists from russia did not compete. And I see a lot of new names in the entry lists.

Pairs:
1st- Pang Qing and Tong Jian (China)
2nd-Zhang Dan and Zhang Hao (China)
3rd-Maria Petrova and Alexei Tikhonov(Russia)

I really have very few ideas about pair skating...esp when there are 2 chinese couples there. So of course I won't know anything about the flops...

Ladies:
1st- Kimmie Meissner
2nd- Fumie Suguri
3rd- Sasha Cohen

This is an event that I know, and this is the most shocking event. This is Meissner 1st world championships competition, and she won it. Suguri's 8th time participating in worlds and she got silver. Worst of all, Cohen, who won the US title and runner-up in olympics, got bronze. And mind you, Meissner is only 16 years old.

Flops:
Sasha Cohen: Undoubtedly she is the biggest flops. Favourite for gold medal, no super strong contenders like olympics gold medalist Shizuka Arakawa and Irina Slutskaya the bronze medalist, she has a very big chance of winning it. But she has a habit of letting gold medal slipped through her fingers...she is always the 2nd place finisher. And now she done it again. She has a reputation of not having clean skates for free skate and short program. And she was leading in sp. It's so frustrating because if she nailed her jumps, be more confident and has a clean skate she would be able to win it. That is what happened in torino and I bet that is also the case in worlds. Damn it. I want her to win.

I just found out that she is 145cm tall... kinda looks like it...

(from left)Suguri, Meissner, Cohen http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/060326/483/cnbm13303260038

She knew after her skate, that she has let another gold medal slipped through her fingers. http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/060326/483/pch12203260030

Cohen fell again. http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/060326/photos_ts/2006_03_25t181524_450x272_us_figure_skating_worlds_women

Ok...I guess that is it. Just want to post the sp of Lambiel...I actually prefer Lambiel's sp to Joubert even though Joubert was first in sp. Judge urself.

Cheerios. May not be blogging for a long time.

Plushenko's Free Skate

I realised that I forgot to post this video on Plushenko's olympic free skate....It was fabulous. Have a look.

I wish the quality of all these videos are better...then u can really see the goodness in the skate.

Anyway, better than never have any.

So good so good...

I like Evan Lysacek's program at the free skate olympics too.

He was on a drip right before he competed...so I really admired him. He finished 4th overall then.

And my fave sasha short programe...

Cheerios. I hope I sound happier today...ahahah...hitting the bed now!!!

Confession (nothing to do with plushenko)

I am feeling guilty.

My grandmother just passed away, and I am going back to Indonesia soon for her funeral. You might ask, why is ferngrass feeling guilty? Shouldn't her be feeling sad?

I admit, I am not very close to my grandmother. She stayed in Indonesia, and I only go back there for a visit in 1 or 2 years and she only came to Singapore when she needs to see the doctor in Mt E. We have a huge language barrier. I can understand what she is trying to say to me in Hakka, but I can't speak Hakka back to her. Yeah yeah, I am a useless bum. Can't even speak my own language. In my earlier memories, when she was well, she had a huge voice. She looked fierce, speaks sternly and had a very dominating aura around her. I was young and I was afraid of her because of that. I never dared to walk towards her alone without my mum or dad beside me. But I remembered when I was really young, she scolded my mum for scolding me. She gave me money and lots of sweets because she knew I like them.

The last visit I had was last year right before I started my uni. And perhaps the last thing she knew about me was I got a place in NUS. And in her words, " I had turned into a fine young women."

I am feeling guilty because I wish I made more effort in trying to communicate with her. I wish that I was not so impatient. I wish that I realise this earlier.

I was planning to go back to Indonesia tml with my mum for a quickie visit but apparently she cannot wait anymore.

There are tons to plan, about when I need to go back (my mum dun wan me to miss too many lessons because it's near exam time), what to do (remember, I can't read malay and indonesia's language is malay and I had to go there without my mum), sending emails to tutors requesting for change of tutorial classes for makeup, packing, tickets, asking my friends for favours for notes, projects etc etc. Even attire for the next few days. I have to plan them because I dun exactly have enough black blouses to go around. It's enough to tire me out.

My head is spinning right now, because the call about her news came in the middle of the night and I was awoken by my mum about the news. But I can't sleep...I worried about things that I have to do. I woke up with 4 hours of sleep and for once, I dont feel sleepy at all. No dozing off signs. And I have to stay strong for my mum because I dunno what she is thinking...I dunno how sad she is and how much she is holding up. But I can sort of tell she felt guilty and wishes that she insists on taking time from her work for the quick visit to be earlier. She told me all the time that she disliked her, for all the things my grans had done. But who doesn't hate their mothers from time to time? We all know, mother-daughter relationships are the most complex and intense but certainly one of the closest u can ever get to someone. I dun even think father-son relationships will ever be THAT close. We hate our mothers for nagging, for scolding us, for not understanding us. In order to hate, there is a need to love first. Hate and love is just seperated by a thin line, and I know she must be hurting inside.

Sometimes I wonder what will happen to me 30 years down the road. I fear of what is in front of me now.

I dun even have her picture. Her face would be a memory.

I guess that is it. Confession done. Don't worry guys, I am fine. I guess I am just suddenly....smarter than usual. And have new profound knowledge about my world.

I am really fine.

Should I mention plushenko? Just briefly...watching his videos now...kinda want to escape from all the things I have to do.

Including giving up chances to earn some money.

Cheerios guys. Hope no one is affected by this post.

P.S. Jon Jonsson is not catwalking the sg fashion festivals shows. Apparently the organisers cannot afford his show fees because they had busted their budget on the supermodel Lily Cole. (This is according to Urban section from The Straits Times. I kinda of rewrote it. Just read it if there is a need)

World Skating Championships

Hello guys,

I am back to skating again. World Figure Skating Championships at Calgary, Canada. Less exciting competition compared to Winter Olympics because all the olympic champions for each event is not there. Yes, all means pairs', men's, ladies' and ice-dancers' olympic gold medallists are not there. But still....

The video I am posting below is the short program(sp) by Brian Joubert. French guy, 6th overall in Torino Winter Olympics Men's skating. He is not too bad, just always a little short of very good skating to get to the podium. Nevertheless, he had a great sp, and I was pleasantly surprised. It was good, and he was the 1st in sp but 3rd overall because of his less-than-perfect qualifying round's scores.

Just watch it if you have time. Adeline, this guy is not too bad. Don't just watch plushie skates ok?Hahaha...

Nicole, Li Ting, Yingqi: Sorry, I haven transferred the photos. Will transfer soon.

I can honestly smack my head against the wall

HOW CAN I BE SO STUPID!!!!

Oh goodness u wun believe what I wan to say....or maybe after reading this section u will stare in disbelief of what I am going to say now.

Firstly, ok, almost everyone knows that, before plushie came into the picture, Ian Thorpe is my idol. I love his freestyle swimming!!! Amazing~~Anyway, he pulled out from the commonwealth games cos he had an illness. Along with Grant Hackett (who pulled out too cos he has a shoulder injury), these 2 people are considered the few greatest aussies olympians of all time. And Aussie men are flopping without them in the pool. I think they did not win a single gold medal this time...I am not sure. Anyway, the tv showed Thorpe watching with some US Secretary person ( I have no idea who, I think it was Condoleezza Rice ) the 50m freestyle in which Roland Schoeman was competing in. I thought, ok , that was it. The most I can see is Thorpe sitting in the stands watching. Then I found out just before the 100m free that he was gg to be a commentator along with other experienced commentators at that event. Tried listening to the commentator while watching the event (It was tough), but realised that the programme on ch5 wun show tt, or rather, wun broadcast that. Ok, I gave up trying too hard to find Thorpe again.

STUPID ME!!! I SHOULD HAVE TRIED HARDER!!!! Guess what I found out??? He was the presenter of the medals of women's 800m free!!! I DID NOT WATCH!!! And what is worse is that I watched that event!!! But not the medal ceremony!!!!

REGRET REGRET REGRET....no one had any idea how painful it was for me to learn that.

Now swimming is over, confirm no more Thorpe. I am really upset.

Pictures to prove...in case u people dun believe me.

I have no idea why he is growing a beard...he is such a gorgeous man when he was beardless!!! He seems to have a tendency to grow facial and body hair when he is not swimming(eg during the ioc time last year)....and I prefer him when he has slightly longer hair. Like the time at 2004 athens olympics.

Don't understand.

But he is still a great swimmer and a great looking guy anyway.

Anyway, now I think Roland Schoeman quite good looking too...hahaha...and his swim is good too.

http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/060318/483/cwgswm18503181122

He is such a great sprint swimmer...it is so exciting just to watch him. Anyway, I will probably post his pictures again. He is not bad looking. Esp with his goggles.

Meanwhile I found another plushenko video that looks good. He skated in this at 2004, when he was only 21. He almost fell once, fell once, but still won the gold in world championships. This is a different skate from all those videos that I have posted. Have a look will ya???

I found a couple of plushie pictures I want to talk about. But I will talk about it the next time. This post has enough going on. Plus, I need 1 whole post to rattle about my Plushie. Hahaha.

Maybe I should just convert my blog into a "Sports Blog". It's like full of sports.

Or maybe should be a "Swimming and Skating" blog.

Whatever.

Anyway, guys, JON JONSSON IS BACK!!! Go to www.jonjonsson.com/blog to have a look...

Cheerios guys. Hope I did not bore you with my sports details and my manic.

I confess part II

Ok, here is part 2 of the previous post...

It may (most likely la) will contain a lot on my Plushenko again.

I told you people that I am obsessed

Ok, timeline of Plushenko after the Gala skating show.

He was the flag bearer of the Russian Flag at the closing ceremony...try so hard to look for him among the few hundred ppl carrying other flags but still in vain...

And when I finally see the Russian Flag, alas, all the flag bearers had passed the flag to the performers on stage. So I get to see the performer who was carrying the flag, not Plushie. Damn!!!

There he is....

Source: http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/060226/ids_photos_sp/r3357265418.jpg

Then, he went to Spain for the skating show "Champions on Ice" on 28 Feb. So tiring of him...the closing ceremony was on 27 feb. Poor him...

Heartache. The picture below is him in Spain.

Source: http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/060228/ids_photos_sp/r4120617407.jpg

Then he went to Tokyo for the "Theatre on Ice" skating show.

Source: http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/060304/483/xits10503041023

Source: http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/060304/483/xits10303041021

Then he went back to Russia...perhaps for the meeting with President Putin. He was in those pictures that I had posted on my previous post.

There you go. I only know this much cos I can only find out this much only...

Sad that not many people crazy over skating. It's such a good sport.

Anyway I found this video on www.youtube.com again....it's the skating show in Tokyo.

I just wish that he brought more skating costumes...I saw him in this for the 3rd time already. But it is his skating skills that matters, not the costumes right??? (=

This skate in this video is similar to the one he did at the gala and the short program Toska. But this video is still amazing to watch anyway.

Ok...I have to go. Post again next time.

I told you people tt this post will most likely be about plushie again.

Cheerios. Play the video ok!!!!

Oh ya. I changed my phone...happy. (=

I confessed

I confess.

I am so into plushenko that it becomes so unhealthy. Have been talking about him the whole time. Not good.

I just wish that I can put everything I found about plushenko into my blog...all the news articles, all his skating videos, and all the funny funny videos that he did. He is really a great guy...so sporting. Always do things that makes people laugh...whether is funny sex bomb videos or great skating competitions shows. He is such a true showman.

Too bad he is married. )=

I know that there are very few people reading this blog. And I know that there are even fewer people who bothered to watch the skating videos I posted online. I have to pester a few people to watch his videos. But I really mean it. He is really an amazing guy. And if you ever one day bother to read his biography you will be amazed how far he has to go to reach this stage.

Who dares to admit that he/she watched plushie skated???Either on live shows or on tv or on the videos I have posted??? Tag if u did.

This blog is in danger of becoming a "Evgeni Plushenko" blog.

I am surprised that nobody actually try to kill me from talking about Plushie so much.

But until one day plushie left the skating stage, I wun ever stop liking him.

I am crazy!!!!!

I promised, I will control my talk about plushie. Sorry my dear readers...

Movies feast

Hmm...I really need to stop talking about ice-skating. Here is a topic that everyone can relate to. MOVIES!!!

Hmm...go watch Munich. Nice show. Really good. I like how the story developed. But sometimes it is a little hard to follow....most of the time for me is I dunno which character is who. They have a lot of those funny funny Arab names and I can't differentiate them!!! But overall it is a good show.

And the honeytrapper is really pretty. Too bad she died of a really gruesome death. And she died without any dignity. (=

I should make another movie list again. I watched quite a lot in these 2 and a half months.

1. Elizabethtown
2. Memoirs of a Geisha.
3. Matchpoint
4. Casanova
5. Final Destination 3
6. Munich

Yeah 6 movies at the mo. There are more to come. And almost all 6 of them are good movies.

Juliana: I finally realised what matchpoint is about. It's about luck. The guy character never really succeed in the tennis world and never became a great well-known player. But remember he tried to throw the jewellery into the river and one of the ring did not drop into the river? The drug-dealer picked it up? It was lucky for him. So I guess that is what the movie is about in my view la. Haha...take so long to figure out.

Ok I am going to have my lunch now. Cya guys!!!!

Ace Young!!!

Ok, I am finally digressing a little from skating...dun get me wrong, I still pretty much in love with skating. But I want to post this video.

The video below shows Ace Young, one of the American Idol contestant. I am truly surprised by this performance..the falso was so like amazing!!! He sang Butterflies by Michael Jackson. Hey ppl, it's a Michael Jackson song!!! Not exactly the easiest song to sing. Amazed...

I know there are people like Li Ting and Nicole trying to finish their work and thus have no time to read or even glance through my blog and also haven been watching Idol for a long time. Hey girls, I post this video for ya so that u can watch too ok??

There were quite a few people v stressed lately (me too), so I am posting a Plushenko's (plushie's) funny skating video...he is skating to the song Sex Bomb...and it was hilarous!!! Watch it!!! To calm nerves!!!

He skated this event at 2005....still recent. Hahaha...hope you guys enjoy it!!!

I am so not over skating.

Shocked beyond words

CRASH WON THE OSCARS FOR BEST MOTION PICTURE!!!!!CAN YOU BELIEVE IT???

It was predicted for the front-runner BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN!!! Gosh!!! Dark horse was ( I think) Walk the Line....omg. I can imagine the happiness for the crew of crash and the utter disappointment for Brokeback. Yes yes, brokeback got lots of honours(like getting the most nominations) but winning the best motion picture is like the biggest prize of all. And they didn't get it...so sad...

Arghz...and Felicity Huffman did not win the best actress...it went for Reese Witherspoon. Oh well. I am glad that Resse is finally getting some recognition for her work instead of being known as a girl who acts only in romantic comedies...and my Heath Ledger did not win the best actor too. Damn...

At least there are some good dress sense around...really pretty dresses. And my fave went to Keira Knightley again...I love her dress sense. And she is my age!!! Good job for someone who is going to the Oscars for the first time...

And the winners are:

Best Picture:
Brokeback Mountain
Munich
Capote
Good Night, and Good Luck
Crash

Best Actress:
Charlize Theron (North Country)
Judi Dench (Mrs Henderson Presents)
Keira Knightley (Pride and Prejudice)
Felicity Huffman (Transamerica)
Reese Witherspoon (Walk the Line)

Best Actor:
Heath Ledger (Brokeback Mountain)
Joaquin Phoenix (Walk the Line)
David Stratharin (Good Night, And Good Luck)
Terrence Howard (Hustle & Flow)
Philip Seymour Hoffman (Capote)

Achievement in Directing: Ang Lee (Brokeback Mountain)
Best Supporting Actor: George Clooney (Syriana)
Best Supporting Actress: Rachel Weisz (The Constant Gardener)

Damn...some shows not showing in Sg...or else I would have watched. And I am not old enough for Brokeback mountain and Transamerica...)=

Dresses coming...

Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Jessica Alba, Zhang Ziyi, Felicity Huffman

And Keira Knightley!!!! I love her blings blings, love her dress and love her make-up. Woo Hoo!!!

Oh man, Oscars always have people turned out in their best huh? I wish I have one of these dresses. But then again, where do I wear them???

All pictures are from: http://oscars.movies.yahoo.com/photos/gallery.html;_ylt=Amd9PiVwnBor2kVl4cKKNspiVLcF?id=48&type=primary&curr=1

Anyway, remember Sasha Cohen's pictures in my previous entry? I like this one too...

Gorgeous...there are more actually. =) Check it out at http://www.sashacohen.com/studioshots.shtml

And if anyone needs to know about figure skating alone...like all the jumps and what are those, go to this site:

Ladies's figure skating....top contenders (edited)

Yes yes, I am still on that topic. It's not over yet.

Anyway, I never mentioned that after the short programme,or sp for short, for ladies figure skating at torino (sp is like the 1st round of competition for ladies and men's figure skating), there was only 0.71 marks difference between the leading girl (sasha cohen) and the girl at 3rd place (the jap girl). And Sasha was only 0.03 marks away from Irina Slutskya, who was 2nd at that time. So now, there are reasons why they are so close to each other.

Here is the website link that analyses these 3 ladies. And if you ever watch Sasha perform, watch out for her spiral sequence (the one where she glides through half the ice with 1 position, the highlight of her performance) and her spins....absolutely wonderful. Trust me people!!!

And Sasha is really pretty....here are a few of her studio shots. Gorgeous!!!

I think her eyes are stunning. Anyway, Evgeni Plushenko's name is pronounced as "U-gee-ni" "Plu-shen-ko". Clear the air once and for all

Cheerios people.

Beauty is a subjective thing

Ok, I know I am a little slow at this, but I still want to blog about figure skating at the olympics.

The exhibation show gala at the end of the figure skating competition was awesome!!! I have to wake up at 3.30am in the morning to watch and get ready to go to school at 5.30am. And I slept at 12am. Yes yes, my eyes were so glued that it was amazing that I could get out of bed. But hey, my main worry was that I missed Evgeni Plushenko's performance (the show actually start at 2am). Luckily, he was the last to come out!!! (big finale performance) He was so awesome...my eyes were fully opened by the time he finished his 1st show (he was supposed to skate for 2 shows, the 2nd being an encore for olympic champion). OMG....it's crazy. He was really really really really good. I am so glad for the show to be telecast on ch5 because I want my friends to really know that he is really really good and I am not blind in liking him and adding him to my list of fave sport stars. And guess what? My friends did think that he was good....Juliana is convinced that he was great, nicole thought that he was the best skater out of everybody( which means everybody...even the champion female and pair skaters), Adeline was simply asking me when is the next skating show....I have to promise jul 10 blank dvds in return for her recording the live show on dvd(she has to stay up through the night to record for me) but it was so worth it.

So now after figure skating competitions at the olympics, my list of fave skaters is out.

Men : Evgeni Plushenko. (nickname = zhenya [given by his family I think], [for my purpose] plushie, plushy and plush)

I have no fave in pair skating.

Evgeni is good in everything, from footwork to spins to skate jumps. And he skates with lotsa passion. And pushes skating to a new height. My absolute fave.

Sasha is very light on her feet, with fabulous jump and skating position and her spins are so good....right speed and good variations. She has one of the straightest backs in skating. But she has never been clean (ie she always fall at least once). That is one of the main reason why she has always clinched the silver but seldom the gold medal. And she is pretty.

Tanith and Benjamin has very good program components. Their skate is often clean and very passionate. But their technical part (ie lifts and spins) is not very difficult but I will be watching them cos they have the time on their side.

Tanith....I like this name. Digress a bit. It is now on my list of "what christian name should I give myself?"

Oh man, I am suffering from the lack of figure skating on tv...

Thanks to those friends of mine who listen and listen to all the crap I said....PLUSHIE PLUSHIE PLUSHIE. I know it's kinda hard on them but I can't stop myself!!! It's a new obession of mine. Thanks friends!!!! You people really understands me and let me rattle and try to listen...thanks!!!!

And to those that shut me up (there were quite a few), I dunno if you will be reading this, but screw you. You dun understand passion and obession and love. And that to me, you are devoid of emotions.

Someone asked me once( I forgot who) this question. Why do you like watching sports so much? My answer to her is (I am pretty such it was a her), why not? Sports is great. It shows the true passion and commitment into the sports. It's all about pushing to new heights. It's about performing to your best. The emotions involved are real, geniune and never fake. I guess we Singaporeans have never experienced the feeling of winning because we are not a great sports nation and that's why they dun understand. I seek for something that is more exciting and genuine and sports gives me that. No doubt I suck at sports, but watching it gives me such an emotional rush that it's incredible.

Why figure skating? To me, that is one sport that is different. I think there was one ice-dancer ( I think it was the russian girl who won the ice-dancing...Tatiana Novak) who said something like this......other athletes dun understand skating. They compete without makeup and in sports suits. I compete with full makeup and fake lashes and clothes that glitters and shimmers. Something like that. Skating is a beauty sport. Not only requires your stamina to be good, it requires one to execute beauty through all the lifts you are doing and if in pairs, it requires coodination and trust. It just reminds me of dancing. And there are people who continue to push skating to new heights ( ie doing more unusual lifts and spins)...so much so that it becomes incredible. There is true beauty to it.

Talking about beauty, let me digress. A few days ago, on my way to school, I saw a couple walking into the train. The man was holding the girl's handbag and she was heading to the only one seat avaliable in that cabin. The girl sat down and held out her hand for her bag. She had her full makeup on, with super feminine clothes and heels. She sat with her back fully straight, no hair or clothes out of place. The guy just kept staring at her. I was amazed. Why? I dun understand. Girls dun have to be like that. A little mess do no harm. The kind of beauty this girl has is kinda artificial to me. It tells me that she is insecure, hiding her face behind a mask with colours. I know, I may fall into this kind of trap one day....but I hope not. I dislike people with makeup on when they come to school or stuff. Ok, I mean heavy makeup. I dun really mind light ones. But full on? Come on, dun these people feel tired at all? To maintain such a mask behind who you really are? The most beautiful comes from inside!!! Not from clothes you wear and the paint on the face!!!! Going to school have to put makeup? It's ridiculous.

Yes yes, I know girls have to be pretty and stuff. But this? It's too much.

That's why I say that skating has beauty and it comes from inside ie from emotions executed from the movements, lifts and spins. I am attracted by that kind of beauty.

Ok, I am rattling too much. I doubt anyone understands what I just said, or even bother to read it.

Adeline: You are not so critical la. And thanks for the support you show to plushie ok? Support him together!!!!

Anyway, anyone knows how to burn dvd???

Ok, I have to go now. Going out later.

Cheerios.
