Have been really busy with work these days, so kinda stressed out. Got pimples starting to pop out after being 'quiet' for so long... Sigh!
Anyway, the more stressed out I am recently, the more often I went out to chill. Been to a few new places recently, thanks to a friend. LOL, next to him I am like a mountain turtle sia. Never been to these places before.
First up,
CaneleIt's located at Shaw House next to Mango, very near Isetan. The food to me is so so, but Ying Ying's macaron is so cute! (But too sweet for me). Went there with my IE clan for this =)
My baked rice... the white thing in the middle is an egg...
Second, Keppel Bay.
It is a restaurant bar place whereby there is a seaside view and stuff. Nice place to talk and chill out actually. Best to go at night I think, because it seems like it will be extremely hot in the afternoon... And I don't think it will be good for big group of people, because it seems like the place is made for more cozy hangouts than for a group gathering.
No pictures, because I forgot to bring my camera. But trust me, it's a nice place.
Third, LOL. I don't remember what's the name of this food place. I am afraid that I get the food place name wrong actually...
It's located at first level of 313 Somerset, and if you sit on the outside, you can see the coffee club and california fitness. It has the most delicious potato wedges! It's crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Yummy! Maybe next time if I am there, I will find out the name!
Accordingly to my friend, they served the best lattes but I didn't order one because I was already suffering from overdose of caffinine due to the boringness of the course I had that day & the free flow of coffee...
Some pictures here.
Fourth, Grill out!
Haha, it's at the topmost floor of Orchard Central, and frankly this is my favourite place out of the 4!
The view is fantastic, the food is great and they play retro english music! (ie Boyzone's Picture of You, Sheryl Crow's Soak Up the Sun and Shakespeare In Love) Haha, my friend and I had a great laugh at the music actually... The drink is so so (my mango margarita is not frozen but look like a mango pudding...) and the baked potatoes are amazing with lotsa bacon bits! Haha!
Yes, I love all things potato-ey! But trying to control because it's fattening!
Did not put photos of me and my friend here because not sure whether he wants his face to be shown on the world wide web... maybe next time if I got the chance to ask him and he says yes I will post them here =)
Anyway, have been eating A LOT recently =( I feel like I am going through puberty for the second time! I bought Yan Yan the other day and I saw that there are words on the biscuits! LOL so interesting!
Also, I have been trying to look for Smarties for the longest time, and guess what? I found it at the most unlikest place! Guess where did I found it?
At one of the supermarkets near my house! Haha! I swear I wasn't specifically looking for them because I was looking for rations (ie tidbits) for my house! And there they were, staring right back at me when I was trying to taking Yan Yan... so happy right now!
Anyway, post picture of broccoli and me... haha!
Also, during the week, I watched
Chloe. This is actually a rather interesting show with a nice twist. Thought at first that this show might be really slow (it's those artsy artsy movie which I like but hate to watch after a workday because it's too heavy) but it's actually quite good. There is Amanda Seyfried (from Mamma Mia), Liam Neeson (from Narnia's Aslan) and Julianne Moore (The Hours), which I like a lot. She's like another version of Meryl Streep to me... Anyway, if you got time, should catch this show.
Oh well, I guess this is it. Going to end this entry now...
Cheerios!
