Maybe some thoughts of Michael Jackson first.

I think that he is an amazing man with amazing talents and it's a shame that he is gone. I remember some years ago when I was reading about him, this guy said something like "You don't classify MJ as a black or a white. He is just MJ." He undoubtedly broke down racial barriers, at least in terms of music and turned music videos into something like a marketing tool for album sales. He is a great musician, and I think no one will deny that.

But then again, it's sad that how his personal life turned out. I think it's God's work again here. When you gain something, you will lose something. He was given great musical talent, but maybe in a way, he loses having to live to a ripe old age. There are some past evidence as well, such as Elvis who passed away at age 42. And I think it solidify what I feel, that it is never good to be famous too young. Look at MJ, look at Britney, look at Lindsay. All proves that that being famous when you are too young and immature will cost you one way or another.

And recently, I just thought of something that I learnt from MJ. Being psychologically "unright" is not a danger on its own. But giving someone money to feed that psychological problem will create another problem on its own. MJ will never go for so many plastic surgeries had he did not earn enough money to do so. As my mum always said, these kind of people have way too much money.

But it's sad that he never get a chance to do that great comeback concert. I was hoping that he will come to SG for one night, and I will go and watch, although I can never stand looking at him (though no problem listening to his music). It's funny how things always turn out, him passing away 2 weeks before the 50 dates concert is one example of how fate can interfere with matters.

Anyway, I am sure that some record company will do a release of his albums, like a greatest hits album with unreleased tracks or something and I am waiting for it. He has this "Michael Jackson Number Ones" album already a few years back, but I think it is more worthwhile waiting for new ones coming out. Recently his songs and mtvs are playing very frequently on MTV SEA and China.

Oh well, I am a little sad, though not as sad as his fans because I was not a fully fledged fan of his. But I do like some of his songs, like my fave Billie Jean...

Anyway, I went to a colleague's wedding dinner yesterday and got home pretty late. First time I went to a wedding dinner without my parents and first time EVER I gave an ang bao... Feeling really grown up and weird about it. My colleague sent me home that night even though she stayed in commonwealth because she was worried that I can't get transport home. Also, I was a little tipsy (just the slightest) from 2 glasses of red wine I was forced to drink from my colleagues... Luckily the red wine wasn't strong, because I was never a good drinker. But I was surprised that I was just a little tipsy, because the last time my ex-boss gave me half a cup of red wine and I was already goggy when I went home that day. Haha, maybe the chinese tea helped...

Ok, back to work tomorrow. Sian...

Wanted to update about Michael Jackson's passing, but actually I am wwwwaaayyyy too tired.

Just sad that he passed, and a few thoughts which I will put down maybe on sun?

Got to run to bed now, got coll's wedding dinner tml. My first wedding dinner in which I have to attend on my own (without my parents'). This year got 4 ppl in my section getting married... I am going to be broke.

Sigh, let's hope tml will go smoothly =)

Seriously overspent the last and this month. But I did not buy a lot of stuff leh... it is all the doctor's medication that is making me spent a lot of money...

But I am not entirely not guilty. I have bought a couple of stuff that makes me happy! First up, the laneige stuff that I have been aiming for a few months... along with the many samples I got. My mum said the bag's shape looks like those LV that she saw on the streets... And I got a few free gifts and samples along with it! The BA knows who I am already... haha... But I tried the moisturiser from this range before and it's not very good... don't know about the rest though. Shall use this chance to try it out and see... No masks btw, because as I said before, I have way too many masks that I think I don't think to buy new ones this year =X




And also bought a new cleanser from Clarins. This is the purifying gel, which is different from my Ultra Foaming cleanser, because Ultra Foaming cleanser is discontinued! Clarins came out a couple of new cleansers, but because of several reasons, I just bought the purifying gel first, which I tried before and it's okay (though not as good as ultra foaming cleanser). And also bought a new SD card so that I can take more videos during concerts!

Anyway, met up with my jie on wed! Have some fun at the arcade again... I think arcade is becoming the "things we have to do when we meet up"! Haha, and surprisingly, I won her on Daytona despite both of us getting lost in some pillar-like structures! Haha!

And her bf bought me some durian puffs to thank me for those dried guavas and soursops that I bought for them when he came to pick us up... Haha, her bf damn cham lah. Kena called by me as lao ge/ hei ge/ hei da ge etc.... Haha. But it seems like her bf enjoys it =D



Sigh, I am so lazy to blog these days and so been posting about skincare and other shallow things... It's been tiring this week. I think maybe I am too tired to think of profound posts? No idea...

Sigh, already feeling the toll of work on me only a few months.

Gotta go and watch the Memoirs of a Geisha on TV now. Read this book straight after I saw the movie and I have to say, one of the most memorable books I read in years.

Btw, watching prison break recently and suddenly I feel that this season Wentworth Miller (Michael Scofield) is damn shuai... it is something about this season that makes him look damn sey lah. Haha... and I found out that he is 37 years old which I didn't expect! Thought he is only 31! =D
