Christmas in Singapore

Frankly speaking, whenever Xmas is near, I just wish I am not in Singapore.

Maybe I am fooled by TV images, but I always wish that I am in some ang moh country to spend my Xmas. Granted, I am not big on celebrating xmas, but I guess that is partly got to do with how BORING Xmas is in Singapore.

I am not talking about big wild Xmas parties. I think in terms of such wild mindless parties, we do not have any trouble with that. It's the typically cozy parties that I missed.

I always envy those people in movies and tv shows, whereby people are huddled in big furry coats and mittens, coming into someone's house for a Xmas party, kicking snows out of their boots, then rushing to the piano to sing Xmas carols with a big fire burning at the fireplace.

The idea is really nice. It really seems cozy and heartwarming.

That is one of the main reasons why I like to watch Xmas movies. The plots are generally almost the same, but it is the setting I love so much.

I just wish, just wish one day, I can be in some other countries spending my white Xmas.

Of course lah, I won't want to stay in those ang moh countries for CNY. The best place to go to for that is China, but I think CNY in Singapore is already big enough. No need to go so far.

Sigh, in short, Christmas in Singapore is boring =(
