Sales done me in...
Honestly, I have never seen Pagar so quiet before. Even when I left work at 8.30pm one day, I could still hear the buzz of the area. But it was really like a ghost town on Sun.
After working for like 2 hours, I went to the Metro expo sale. Was curious at what did they sell, and I actually found something that I wasn't planning to find.
Givenchy Phenomen'Eyes Mascara! With the ball like wand... I believed I showed this picture before. It was so interesting, and at sale, that I couldn't resist to buy it. Anyway, if I ever want to try the mascara, I should get it at a sale right? But I already have a Anna Sui from a lobang from my colleague, I won't be buying mascaras for the entire year at least... I am damn interested to try it out, esp after NRWZD showing it, but I shall hold till my current mascara dries up. Was lucky I did not buy Paul&Joe's and Givenchy lipgloss, though I was damn tempted to. Lucky I have enough self restraint to do so =)
Anyway, I got a pleasant surprise when I was heading to Metro Expo sale. I saw another hall having Borders' Sale! The collection of books there was not a lot, but I found Twilight books selling at 40% discount! I was already damn curious about the series, especially since I heard Da Jie gushing over it many months back... Bought the first book, because I was worried that I won't like the rest of the series but I really like the book! Finished it within 2 days...
Anyway, my mum said I have a really bad reading habit. When I get a good book, I will not remember to eat, to bath, to sleep. The first night when I had Twilight, I read till 5am before realising that it's late. The second day, I was stiff in my reading position, but still I ignored dinner and went off reading till 8.30pm... horrible. It is almost the same routine when I get my Harrt Potters. That is why I am not constantly reading. Imagine what will happen if I did! Either my eyes are going to pop out or I am going to turn into stone for not shifting my reading position.
But I got my second Twilight series today (New Moon). Though it is more expensive than I would be paying for it if I bought at the sale on sun, it is still $15++, which is a reasonable price. But I do not dare to start...
Met Linda and P today for lunch. Was telling Linda that Edward Cullen is like the vampire version of Mr Darcy from Pride and Prejudice. He is the "tough guy on the outside, soft sweet guy inside" kind of guy. However, I loved Edward more because he was confused as to how to be a human, how to be a boyfriend and how to be a human. It is so sweet when he treated Bella like a porcelain doll, and with all his struggles, he still love Bella as much, if not more. I love it when he was handsome in his subtle ways like his chuckle, his glance. And the way he took care of his girl (eg cradling her to sleep, watching her to ensure her safety etc). He is the perfect boyfriend lah! I remembered I said the other time that I don't mind living in the male dominated world of 18th century if I get to love Mr Darcy. Now I think I won't mind if I have to turn into a vampire to get to love Edward Cullen...
Yes yes, I know Edward Cullen and Mr Darcy is like fictional characters, and it will take me like a whole million amount of luck to meet some guy who is even close to these 2 people. I know the reality, but a girl is allowed to dream right?
Btw, as I told Linda today, Mr Darcy is like the number-don't know-what "All time top fave romantic lover" in Britain... cannot remember the exact name of the poll, but he is definitely one of the top 5 for something like that poll.
Oh! Today I saw GV Vivo showing MJ's moonwalker! I am damn tempted to watch it lah, but I am not sure who will want to go with me... I am waiting for tml so that I can go and buy his 5 CD collection...
This weekend makes me realise the kind of life I used to have, and I missed it badly...
Btw, I think I am going to be dead tml. Wish me luck.
