Withdrawal...

It's been 2 weeks, and I am still having withdrawal sympthoms, though albeit not as strong. Sighz... it is going to take me a long while before I can totally shake that feeling off...

Anyway, I always wanted to post about extraordinary athletes. Nope, I am not talking about my mightly Michael Phelps or that Bolt guy, but about Oksana Chusovitina and Natalie du Toit.

Oksana Chusovitina is simply amazing. She' a 33 year old GYMNAST who won a silver medal in individual vault event. Yup, 33 year old gymnast. She is not a typical gymnast with ponytail hair with pink and purple tights. And the reason behind her return to top gymnastics is incredible too. She did it because it helps to pay for her son's leukemia treatment in Germany. She was from Uzbekistan (which is those funny funny countries that u never know whether it's a european nation or asian nation. But was formerly part of Soviet Union, if that helps). And all these just goes to show that if u set ur heart onto something, it can be done.

And she just sort of cast my mind to Dara Torres, the 41 American swimmer. I still remembered her standing next in blocks with Cate Campbell, who is a 16 year old Aussie swimmer.... Haha... what a big contrast.

Natalie du Toit is also amazing. She is the first female amputee swimmer ever to compete in Olympics. And she was swimming for 10km! I saw her during the Commonwealth 2006 games actually and her courage is amazing. Admire her.

Hmm, this games seems to be full of surprises isn't it?

Anyway, I am having too much work these days. Sorry for all the people I have to cancel on meeting! Shall see how it goes... once I have the time, shall call u guys up again!

Ok, I should be reading about retail stuff right now. Blog next time.

Cheerios.
