I'm Happy

After 2 anguish posts about tutorials, this post is going to be a happy one.

Guess what?? I managed to swap to a desirable operations management tutorial!!! At first I will have to wait for 3 hrs after my macro econs on fri for my om tutorial (which is 1 hr....duhz. A 3 hr wait for 1 hr tutorial. Damn stupid.) Now I managed to swap my om tutorial just after my econs lecture!! Yeah!! No more 3 hr wait!!! You have no idea how happy I was. I can't believe I managed to swap. I was prepared to go to the office to appeal and already thinking of all sorts of reasons, from "I can't wait for 3 hrs for a tutorial" to "I will commit sucide if I have to wait 3 hrs." ( The commit sucide excuse is a joke.) But I don't have to go through appeal anymore!! Yes YES!!!

I know I was very lucky. Now trying to see whether I can swap my econs tutorial...but I am okay with what I was allocated..

Now my timetable is not too bad liao. I don't have the urge to throw my om textbook outside my window...

I hope Weiwei and Yingqi can swap to the slots they want....pray hard for them.

I am going to be damn busy soon, with tutorials and projects. Not looking forward. Still in a little holiday mood..

Anyway, I found out on mon that I will have Genes and Society mid term test on 7 Oct...yes yes for those who bother to remember 7 oct is my birthday. I almost fainted in the lecture hall. AGAIN!!! LAST YR ALSO LIKE THAT!! I have financial accounting test on 7 oct 2005 too. I can't happily celebrate my birthday in NUS huh? I have to pray next yr no mid term test on 7 Oct...cos it's my 21st birthday. If there is a test on that day I will bawl my eyes out.

And to think my genes lecture said that it's her birthday...what a luck.

Anyway, I finished quite a number of novels during the holiday. Dan Brown's Angels and Demons is the latest one. I know, I am a little late in reading that but I did like that book. I am left with decepition point. If anyone wants me lend me that book tell me ok?

So far my fave book that I read recently is Jodi Picoult's My Sister's Keeper...I just love the complex issues mentioned in the book. The conflict, torn between 2 daughters, the morality of who is right and who is wrong, dealing with science to defy death, the pain caused on someone without knowing...I love novels that makes me wanna cry, wanna cheer, wanna laugh. Full of emotions. I love it.

There is a line in this book that I remember. It goes like this: "I learnt from my daughter that you don't have to be awake to cry." It's written in literal sense, but there is a not so literal meaning to it. I love that line. It wretches my heart.
