Post Emmys

So it's Felicity Huffman, who act as Lynette won the coverted Best Leading Actress in a comedy...she really did not expect it, judging from her wide open mouth and her shock when her name is called. And she truly deserves it, come to think of it. Her role wasn't easy to play...and maybe this arrangement will best solve the problem between Cross's(Bree) and Hatcher's(Susan) catfight in trying to become the diva of the group....

They did really steal the limelight of the show. Remember I said who to watch out for at red carpet? I am absolutely right...most of the girls are to watch for. Here is my fave:

1. Marcia Cross(Absolutely stunning)
2. Eva Longeria(I expected her to be the most stunning but is Cross that...outshone her)
3. Mischa Barton
4. Felicity Huffman
5. Lauren Graham( did not expect her to be there, but she looks great. She acted as Lorelai in Gilmore girls)

(the housewives on top, mischa barton and rachel bilson below)
Biggest disappointing (for me) : Jennifer Garner. Her dress is too tight for me to take it..Her bulges just comes off wrong for me.

Other winners:

Comedy Series: Everybody Loves Raymond

Drama Series : Lost

Leading actor in drama: James Spader (boston legal...he is the only one who managed to win anything for the practice last year)

Leading actor in comedy: Tony Shalhoub( Monk)

Leading actress in drama: Patricia Arquette(Medium)

Reality/ Competition programme : The Amazing Race

But the highlight of the show must be...when Donald Trump dressed as a farmer in straw hat and overalls and singing..he is not a very good singer mind you, but that sight alone just cracks me up...

Also, when Whoopie Goldberg and Hugh Jackman were presenting, they were talking a lot of stuff to the audience before Goldberg suggested that they should get back to the awards and said, "We have a lot of things to say, but you guys don't care. You just want to know who won this category."

Another hightlight...when the host ellen something(can't remember the full name) said, "Seriously, I think overall in the scheme of things, winning an Emmy is not important. I think we all know what's really important in life - winning an Oscar." This line is absolute winner...the best line that's was said in the entire night..

Acceptance speech wise...Hugh Jackman was funny too, James Spader too, but it's Huffman's speech that is the best.
"I would like to thank the incomparable William H. Macy for taking a chunky 22-year-old with a bad perm and glasses out into a cow pasture and kissing and making me his wife" (Huffman)

Pure winner, pure emotions, pure joy, pure love.

That's the emmys for u. Till the next year...
